Excellent CD, featuring a variety of tracks from various library music composers from different production music librarys such as KPM. Including 'Blarney Stone' which was used as the theme to The Dave Allen Show and 'The Penthouse Suite' which was used for many years as the theme to 'Tarrant On TV'.

Works from some of England's finest library composers, Alan Hawkshaw, Sid Dale, Neil Richardson etc.

If you like lounge or retro stock music, wah wah guitars and orchestral florishes then this is for you. Pour a Cinzano and enjoy!

With a few of the tracks on here, you'll be wondering "now where have I heard that before?"
Put simply, it's all studio stuff recorded for use as background/lift music, commercials and/or theme tunes to tv. heavy on the Hammond organ, (which is no bad thing)theres little for the musical connisseur (you know what I mean) but nonetheless I loved it. it's worth having purely for Syd dale's "Penthouse suite", otherwise known as the theme tune to "Tarrant on tv", but there's lots of other cool stuff as well- the soundtrack from the '70s "all because the lady loves milk tray" adverts, Alan Hawkshaw's "Blarney's stoned" from the "Dave alan" TV show, for example. I recommend it if this is your type of thing.

Tunes, ditties and songs that you are sure that you have heard before - but where? From the "Milk Tray" advert to the current SKY TV ad, and even Tarrant on TV, there is bound to be something that jogs a memory. Think scratchy films, think wah-wah guitars and think of those tunes that sat in your head for days afterwards. Re-live them with this CD. E-E-Essential!

The CD which kicked off the mid nineties lounge music revival - the original and best!
