I think it's the kind of music that everyone likes, a Masterpiece I suppose, anyway no one of my friends knows this group, We are too old to read music newspapers but we can talk & talk about Modest Mouse and its MUSIC

i had heard of this band on a television program and heard some songs which i liked. I found that they were on this album and dont get me wrong 3rd planet is a very good song and starts this album of well but then it just gets annoying and repetative. on all the songs they make the voice have an electronic sounds over it which may attract some people but this annoys me and as the album goes on it gets worse because a lot of the music is done electronically. so even though reading all the other good reviews give it some thought before buying this album especially if you have only heard them live because they are alot better live.

Modest Mouse's The Moon & Antarctica is a brilliant album taking you to their country roots in washington and back out to the more hard rocking california.

This is possibly one of the best albums i have ever come across. Introduced by a friend and i am heavily enough into them to have downloaded almost 30 songs and bought this album on top of it.
Modest Mouse have the same addictive trait to them as bands such as the Beatles but without the boring repetitiveness that goes with them sometimes. Clever lyrics bring an already talented band together to create songs such as 'Lives' and 'The Cold Park.' Both songs having deeper meaning than first expected.
I literally can't stop listening to them. The best band i've come across in a long time.
