Although the official Dreamcast controller appears a well rounded product, after a few days of light gameplay the right trigger started squeaking and the A button because less springy. If you're a devoted gamer who will be spending a lot of time on the console I suggest you buy a Mad Catz controller - the buttons are a lot more firm (they can still be pressed down flush with the surface). The only problem with the Mad Catz controller is that the D pad is made from rubber, making control a little difficult on games that require it. But, if this is not a problem go yfor it!
