This is my favourite album of all time, even Frank sinatra never made a Big Band album as good. Recorded over a number of years for dutch radio, yet you can't tell any difference, it all sounds like it was recorded at the same time. Just hear what Murphy does with the likes of "Laura", I can't see another vocalist ever reaching these hights. The title song is also superb, but for many the highlight could well be "Sometimes When Your Lonely" with it's Basie like sound. There are also some great ballads like "Estate" and "When The World Was Young", a tremendous swinging "Stairway To Paradise". Murphy has never sounded better and backed by the greatest swing band of all time, the dutch Metropole Orchestra. Just hear those beautifull strings on "So Many Stars". Big Band jazz at it's very best! Not a weak track on the entire album. SUPERB!
