Based on the cover and the plot synopsis it would be easy to write this off as another over-the-top, students misbehaving at college film, but it most definitely isn't. In fact the story of these two, initially antagonistic, characters on a road trip across the USA is both charming and funny. John Cusack plays Walter Gibson, a freshman who heads to California to meet a 'sure thing' and Daphne Zuniga plays coed Alison Bradbury who joins him on the journey. Things start badly between them and initially get worse but their relationship develops as they journey together. Maybe a predicatble outcome but a great story to get there.

Don't know if I'm writing a review regarding the seller or the film!?
Seller was fine - movie arrived quickly and as described, works fine.
Movie is an old favourite of mine and one that I like recommending to people who've never heard of it - one of those quirky 80's comedies that though not the best ever, sticks with you and makes you smile frequently. Easy watching, and Goose from Top Gun is in it too!

I was 17 when I saw this in 1989 on TV, loved in then and thought "Oh why not take a stroll down amnesia teenage lane for a fiver" I read a couple of reviews who said it had dated and while you can tell John Cusack is just going through the well written lines..its still great fun, had a good giggle again, loved the "my son will be called Nick" bit :)well worth £5 and very enjoyable!

A 80s movie its a lot of fun and is one to see but it is an 80s film and its a short sharp burst

The cast is good the writing OK but its short its sort of cheesy but it was this is a film designed to fit on to a video tape

It is a fun movie with a lovely couple with a sweet story

This is simply the best modern film I've ever seen and amply qualifies for the term "undiscovered gem." The storyline, screenplay and acting are all superb and the two leading players, John Cusack and Daphne Zuniga, should both have received Oscars for their work here. The 'feelgood' factor is overwhelming - it will enthral you and put the sunshine into your day.

Nothing like a sure thing right? Guilt free involvement with the opposite sex. But then reality has a habit of tapping you on the shoulder

A good film and if you love the usual boy fancies girl movie and laugh at the antics in between this is the film for you.
