I think like any other impressional kid of the 90's, I was in love with my Gameboy from the moment I got it. This pocket version was to many, the best thing since sliced bread! It was (laughable now though...) pocket sized - meaning it was slimmer and smaller. Along with a battery pack, it could be taken anywhere, from school (before they were banned) to long car travels. If you thought the batteries where munched up on the original, this was a real god send - even the colour choice was better, and the screen didnt have that yucky yellow look! I'd choose this over any modern hand-held game syste, anyday, because of the simplicity. Games have been too complicated and lack the 'x' factor that made them addictive. In theory, the best games were actually the least beautiful! But i'd have one just to relive adventures on Donkey Kong Country and many more. I love the 90's!
The Game Boy Pocket was the successor to the original Game Boy and featured a slightly larger screen and easier to see screen, is smaller and instead of using four AA batteries it instead uses two AAA batteries. I am very pleased with this Game Boy and is the best and cheapest way to play original Game Boy games. Would reccomend to anyone who likes retro games or anyone who wants to play gameboy games
The gameboy pocket is a classic in design history. The version in yellow is just perfect! a colourful approach to an awesome console. If you get this, get some classics such as super mario and tetris and you're good to go for a long time! Oh, get some rechargeable batteries also so you can play over and over again!
