whilst this is just about listenable - if i had to sit and listen to a friend play it i wouldnt hate it completely, this album is definitely not dnb's finest hour. in a lot of places its just a complete mess of noise. its also very tiring/draining to listen to, you get 2 tracks in and start feeling mentally exhausted, not to mention bored.
this album was made at a time when jungle was being converted over from ragga to atmospheric, and as a result sounds like what it is, a work in progress. a year or two later people like omni trio, blame and ltj bukem had chiseled jungle into something more elegant and listenable resulting in some quite brilliant music, bukem's horizons and omni trio's renegade snares for example.
try omni trio deepest cut for something a bit harder like goldie but with melody and more polished writing, blames logical progression 2 for something more atmospheric, or moving shadows storm from the east for something a little more chilled. timeless sounds half finished and just plain awful compared to these albums.
