WOW A fantastic debut album. From the first bass line on "blind" to the dying sobs of Jon on "Daddy", my mouth was wide open. This album has all the great bass and guitar work fans know from later albums, with none of the unreasonable ranting of "Issues". Jon Davis's Vocals are in places very disturbing, with the distortion of nursery rhymes in "Shoots and Ladders" and random (and yet somehow organised) ranting adding to the impact of the backing music. Undoubtably Korn's best, buy it now.

This is the mother of all Korn releases. BLIND, the first track is just class and the ending is very creative since it makes you think that its the start of another track. I had DIVINE in my head for days. This collection of superb pieces of Metal show me that Korn are one of the best new age bands around. The lyrics are clear whch is often lacking in other band's work (I won't name names)and the instrumental work is so unbelievably professional. A real headbanging piece of music. I love it and so will you, so buy it!

This is the best cd ever made. If you like any kind of rock, you will love this album. Head and Munky, the 2 guitarists both use 7 string guitars which projects a low sound, a great companion to Jonathan Davis's voice. The drums are excellent as well, done by David Silveria. Fieldy, the bassist is the best bassist I have ever heard and his riffs go along great with the drums and guitar. Better than Follow the Leader and Life is Peachy.

From the trademark Korn song 'Blind' this album draws you into its dark sadistic sound. The amazing guitar riffs and the unique vocals of Jonathan Davis redifined metal, paving the way for the nu-metal generation. Even though the heavier sound may be off putting at first 'Korn' is their best album to date and is a must buy, but only after 'Follow the Leader'-due to its more upbeat style newcomers may prefer it. Initially!

from the first line to the dying sobs this album reeks of quality! i actually stumbled on getting this by buying it for a friend for christmas but now i dont want to give it to him! `Blind`, `faget and `shoots and ladders` deserve 5 stars on their own but every single is pure class! the guitar and drum work is genius and the lyrics though disturbing in `daddy` really makes you think DONT WAIT, BUY IT NOW!!!!!

This is Korn's first album and probably the Heaviest. The first two tracks on the album are excellent and you could buy the album just for them but it gets better, then comes tracks like Divine, Faget and Shoots and Ladders which are amazing and Korn at their best. If you dont have any Korn albums then get this one first but make sure you get the rest afterwards as they are all brilliant albums! Go get it!

This is a brilliant album, very wierd. That makes it brilliant. The first KoRn album I purchased was 'Follow The Leader' and this one is just as brilliant SICK and TWISTED. Songs like Blind, Faggot, Devine, Lies, Fake, Clown and last but not least DADDY. There is also a 13TH track, its wierd, it starts from around 5 mins and counts backwards until it reaches zero and then plays the message. Very Funny.

Welcome to one of THE most important metal albums of the nineties. Some would say this is not real metal but "nu-metal", if that is true then this is where nu-metal began. Korn's explosive debut album as a 5-piece (they have a previous release under the name L.A.P.D. but are missing Jon Davis) kicks off with lead singer Jonathan Davis' menacing growl of "Are your ready?" after the simple intro to the first track Blind. That isn't the end of the growlong for this album by any means, Davis sings his highly emotionally charged lyrics by singing, screaming, growling, and simply barking gibberish. This is all on top of the low tuned 7-string madness of Head and Munky, who bring a whole new dimensional sound to the guitar world on this album, the thumping hip hop beats of David Silvera, probably one of the best drummers around, and the unique slap/dampened clicking of Fieldy's basslines. Every track on this album could be released seperately and do very well, Faget being one of the more stand out tracks, is a twisted, grinding foray into the past of Davis and the childhood taunts by his fellow school children. Daddy is probably the most emotional track because of the disturbing story it tells, one of a childhood destroyed by sickening acts of abuse, it is because of this story the Korn have only ever been played it in it's entirety twice. All in all this is an excellent, well rounded, angst and low guitar fuelled rollercoaster straight into the dank dark recesses of Jonathan Davis' soul. A ride which should not be missed.

This album is without a doubt one of the best I've ever heard. If you like Limp Bizkit & Slipknot, try listening to Korn: Nu-Metal all started with this album. 'Korn' combines searing riffs with meaningful lyrics and is not something to miss. Stand out tracks include 'Blind', 'Clown' and 'Faget', but the whole album is Korn's best, and better than most of the crap you find these days.
