'Call the Doctor' is probably one of the greatest albums by a girl band (forget your Atomic Kittens and your Spice Girls-this is real Girl Power)! The stand-out tracks range from the title track, to Sleater-Kinney almost on love song territory in 'Good Things' to the screamy-shouty 'Little Mouth'. Atomic Kitten have such lines as; "You can make me whole again" ...whilst Sleater-Kinney put together culturally significant statements such as "Smile pretty, take, take the money!" ('Little Mouth'). Corin Tucker's voice is definitely the most original vocal in music today-one second she sings in a lush, sickly-sweet way and the next, she comes in with a screaming but tuneful ...chorus (I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone). After hearing this album, you'll definitely agree with Corin-she IS the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll!
