Nice 26 song collection sourced from the original master tapes with exception of tracks 18 + 19 which were dubbed from disc as the original tapes where lost. Do not be put off by this 1997 issue. This is a nice collection that sounds better than some of the more recent remastered releases circulating.

A digipak which opes up to reveal 3 full page photos and seperate pockets for a booklet and the actual 26 track disc.
It kicks off with what I rate as Wray's finest hour-Jack the Ripper.
Link Wray began as a country singer on Starday with his brother and he insists on a few vocals which aren't anything special but the reason for his poor voice is he only had one lung.
He cut possibly the first cover of the Beatles' Please please me-included here-and a great version of Batman
