Ocean Colour Scene are a hidden gem of britpop: veiled in terms of the glamour and status of pulp, blur and oasis, but perhaps on a par in terms of musical consistency and quality. Marchin' Already, although not OCS' greatest work, includes the hit 'Hundred Mile High City', perhaps most infamous for appearing on the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels Soundtrack. Overall however, the album is of decent quality, and can easily bless most cd players. Perhaps in some places the album lacks the brilliance of the track mentioned, but nothing particularly tarnishes the record as a whole.

However, if you are looking into getting into the band, i would perhaps reccomend the brilliant 'Moasley Shoals' as an introduction to OCS: which certainly surpasses Marchin' Already in terms of consistency and overall prowess.

Definitely Worth Checking Out!

Not a lot to say about this one. A lot of really good songs that include "Hundred Mile High City", "Travellers Tune" and "Its a Beautiful Thing" (Which were quite deep for Ocean Colour Scene). Aside from the singles Foxy's Folk Faced (rumoured to be for Paul Weller) and Debris Road were great too.

Nothing bad about this album really. It wasn't a britpop masterpiece like "Moseley Shoals" but it was exactly what you would have wanted as a follow up album. It proved they could do it again only better!!

Recommended, especially for fans of Oasis and Paul Weller. Erm, sorry that's about it.
