2004?? i bought this back in 1997 and it still remains a firm favorite in my collection. when i first heard it it took a while to get my head around but as listen to it now 13 years on it doesnt seem so out of place. glitchy, squechy electro dubs with atmosphere and soul swirl in and out of focus. Tendrils swim up and grab you and drag you into the audio soup, then you are released to float on the undercurrents of beats and bleeps, and recline on the comfy phat basslines. im not going to list the best tracks because they are difficult to spell but out of the 12 tracks 10 are in my best ever playlist on my iplayer!!!! how else can i describe this album? if you are into plaid, the orb or any other ambient experiMENTALists you should give this a go. MOM are an underrated band in my opinion, some of their other albums are less accessable like niun niggung, but vulvaland is another nice one!.
