AAAARRRRGGG!!! This album has to be one of the most ballistic and raw productions ever. This is a serious thrash classic with some really dark songs such as 'Holy Hell' and 'Seven Churches'. Although the drumming is often criticised for being too sloppy, the drums sound KILLER! The 'sloppiness' actually adds to the chaotic atmosphere and are actually more complex than one may think!! The guitars are also extremely impressive, technical but not in a bad way. The riffs on songs like 'Pentagram' and 'Seven Churches' are awesome!
This album has influenced many bands, especially in South America for example: Mortem from Peru (basically a tighter and more serious version of Possessed- CHECK THIS BAND OUT!!!!), Sarcofago (Brazil), Hadez (Peru), Holocausto (Brazil) and Goat Semen (Peru).
Seven Churches rules and is for die hard metal maniacs only!! If you don't own this WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!???

back then it was like a kick to the teeth - and still its like the bart simpson death-thrash metal classic you would expect when looking at the bloodsmeared musicans sporting inverted crosses on the back. somehow funier than comparable stuff like deaths scream bloody gore for example. lyrics are over the top, as is the tuneless hi-speed onslaught of the music, guitars reminding on bees gone mad, a berserk drum, and of course mean and develish vocals. all in all very funny and rockin but also a bit nostalgic. only for kids who fancy old school stuff or old geezers in their end 20s like me. recommended/
