The girls have been doing their thing since 1993 and even if the public lost some interest on them in the way their career is still one full of great R&B tracks. It all started with the "It's About Time" album and the irresestible R&B smash "I'm So Into You" which puts them in the map and becomes one of the most memorable songs of the year. The harmonic ballad "Weak" is anything else but weak and shows that the girls are here to stay. The first UK top 5 hit came with "Right Here" a rather common album track which was elevated into a mellow R&B megahit by using a sample from Michael Jackson's "Human Nature".The fourth release "Downtown" although the most unsurprising release so far remains my personal fave. There was one more release from that album "Anything" but unfortunately it's not included here.Their next album "A New Beggining" was a bit dissapointing and the only Top 20 hit "You're The One" sounded just like "I'm So Into You".We had to wait for the third album "release Some Tension" to get some more serious vibes. The first release "Someone" did not suggest greatness but as the second release "Can We" came along the girls were back in full swing. And the songs keep getting better."Rain" was the perfect example of how good a vocal R&B ballad can get.In general SWV did not achieve the greatness of En Vogue,TLC,Brandy or Aaliyah but they did achieve a very respectable career and the album is a good buy for every R&B fan
