Buy this. You may listen to it alone and be sure you will laugh out loud. Listen with others you will all laugh so much you will have to keep rewinding to catch the bits you missed.

Let anybody else hear it they will want their own copy.

Billy Birmingham has done for cricket what Danny Baker and later Nick Hancock did for football in the 90s - and provided some much needed light entertainment for followers of the great game. Billy captures the essence of Richie Benault's character from dawn till dusk as we follow C4's frontman through a typical working day. From the classic commentary take-outs to the side-splitting pronunciation of the pakistan team sheet 'It's just not cricket' hits the mark where other sporting send-ups fall woefully short. The niggling agro between Tony Grieg and Bill Lawry is pure comical genious - whether you know anything about cricket or not. So many great moments, so many great phrases. My personal favourite? 'well...that's not the most intelligent piece of cricket I've ever seen!'

The fist 12th man CD I got, having listened to extracts on the way back from Minor Counties cricket in the team minibus. Lots of laughs, very vulgar but didn't offend me.Great team pronounciation sessions and classic commentary.

This is an "absolutely marvellous" cd. The Twelth man sounds so much like alll the characters it is hard to know if you are listening to a fake or real commentary. Highly funny and highly recommended

"How's the hair Jeff? What about the suntan? Have I got enough make up on?"
A friend gave me some old 12th man tapes in the 90s and I never really got into it. I then got given The Final Dig by an Aussie pal a couple of Christmas's ago and haven't looked back since. This is from the early 90s when Big Merv and AB were ripping it up for the Aussies and those "Little Sri Lankans" were feeling the full force of their efforts. A great send up of Richie, Bill and Tony.

Hilarious - language a bit ripe, but who cares (as long as you know). Great to switch on as if it's a "radio" broadcast and see the reaction amongst your other listeners.

If you liked Test Match Special in the good old days of Johnners and Blowers. You will love this. "Richie Benaud" is wonderful, especially when singing 'Howzat' in the shower

Absolutely hilarious, this should come with a health warning. My son and I were laughing so much it was difficult to breathe, don't play it in the car whilst driving!
