Serious Jazz collecters will want this, simply to get hold of the Jerome Richardson track-No Problema,a rare tune that would cost hundreds for the original vinyl. The rest of the CD is a bonus and a good one at that.

I've had this for a few years and it stayed around as a CD that I return to. It's worth buying just for Streets of Calcutta and Nancy Wilson's version of Ode to Billy Joe but it really doesn't end there. The mix of material ranges from JB funk to latin groove to some experimental sound pieces. I really like the balance on here of vocal-led stuff and instrumental. Many pleasures to be had...

This CD was bought without knowing quite what it was, I had heard of 1 or 2 of the artists but never actually listened to them, I found it in the jazz section, what made me buy it I'm not too sure but I'm glad that I did and was just coming back to order one of the other editions. On playing it I was expecting to hear your typical jazz sound, trumpets sax etc. The first track Streets of Calcutta, was an Asian sounding funky type instrumental which was brilliant and it only got better from there on in, a great variety of music which should be in every collection and a exellant eye opener. From the purchase of this CD I will be buying a lot more albums from those on Blue Juice
