Sounding as good ever, even better than previously thought. Now rediscovering Fatback who were the first elpee bought way back in 1970s. .."Yum Yum" EPL followed by "Night Fever".They sure can party and their funky drum/bass jazzy sounds so infectious, you can't but shake/move."Mister Bass Man" is ashamedly one funky slice that passed me by.Not anymore.

It's been around for a long time, but it still a brilliant album. I love it and often play it.

This has always been my favourite Fatback album.

With 'Feel-Good-Factor' off the scale, this is a PARTY captured on record.

The slower tracks are not so strong, but the funky dance numbers are timeless examples of what made the seventies THE funk decade.

Favourite tracks: New York Style, Wicky Wacky, Keep On Steppin'.

This is exactly how I imagine street funk albums to be, half killer groove, the other lacklustre ballad. Tracks like Mr.Bassman, and the astoundingly jazzy, funky deep down groove of Wicky-Wacky are stuffed right along next to tracks like Love, hideous Disco-style embarassments to such a team of brilliant musicians. Definitely worth it for the half that rocks, but get your finger ready on the skip button.
