"Don't You Want Me" was originally a rave anthem from 1992. It pretty much appeared everywhere. It was great. Then, 4 years later on 1 October 1996, the song was remixed in the form of "'96 Pugilist" - but it was famouslly on the Tango Blackcurrant advertisement called "St George". In my (and my friends) opinions, Tango are best for TV adverts. They just are. However, only about 2 of them featured songs in the adverts, and the award-winning "St Geroge" was one of them. The '96 Pugilist remix featured vocal samples from the advert (such as "Come on, right here right now!"). It was just amazing. It only got to something like #17 in the charts back at the time but it should of been #1 in my opinion. It's a bit poppy, it wasn't serious. It was just light-hearted. And as for the B-sides, "Stars" is quite an interesting song to hear for the first time, as is track 3, whilst track 4 is another remix of "Don't You Want Me". I think this is probably one of the best (if not THE best) CD singles of advert songs. It's worth a buy. (Oh and here's a random fact: The boxing glove on the cover was from the advert).
