A very good album.

Carole Bayer Sager has a very unusual voice - not to mention a unique style of singing, oddly, not as noticeable on her one big hit from the summer of 1977: 'You're Moving Out Today'.
I can't think what made me buy this album - having only ever heard the one hit, and at the time, not really aware of her song-writing talents, and so perhaps it was curiosity, and the persona that came across when on 'Top Of The Pops' performing the aforementioned hit.
However; I'm glad that I did, as this is a very good album! She's written all the songs, and okay; she may not be the world's best singer, but it's a poor shot if you don't get the chance to sing some of your own material at some time in your life!
Ironically, it's the mega-hit featured on this album that sounds distinctly out of place; all the other songs are ballads, and so probably this would have been better placed as the final track for it to sound more at home here.
A very nice album that will be sure to grow on you.
