I first bought this album when it came out. On first listening I didn't like it as much as the Ju Ju Hounds 1992 album, however, over the years I grew to love it and now maybe even prefer it to the Ju Ju's debut. Songs like 'Gotta Say' and 'Good Enough' have beautiful melodies, a laid back acoustic approach and great solo's by Rick Richards. These tunes are stronger than any of the acoustic G N' R songs he composed I believe. 'Parasite', '117' and 'Freight Train' recall the harder and punkier influences of his GN'R days, whilst 'Grunt' and 'Surf Roach' take him into newer Dick Dale sounding territory. It's odd Izzy's solo career never gained the attention Slash's did, when he was and still is a very capable songwriter and the guy who started it all in GN'R. Any of his albums are far better than listening the Axl Rose project/ disaster!!!
