A great CD. Not as good as Sasha and Digweed's first 2 mixes, not the genius, complex seemless mixing- it has a different deep house/mid 90's garage vibe. Some real moving, dancey tracks all the same. It is less serious and doesn't try to compete with its predecessors. That's no bad thing.
They don't make music like this anymore and it showcases the sexy, sassy italian side of Renaissance.
Brought back floods of memories and reminded me that today's dance music is rootless, soulless and without inspiration. This was never the case with Renaissance.

They had a real tough act to follow. The first Renaissance Mix Collection is an all time classic. Digweed followed that up with another stormer. Fathers of Sound were relatively unknown in the UK and it sort of stayed that way. They pieced together a really smooth collection of deep garage and house sounds, very much of its time in the mid-late 90's (think Deep Dish / Hard Times with a little more vocal soul). It didn't follow the Renaissance mould of Progressive House, possibly why it was not as popular but to me it's just as brilliant.
This was a mainstay in my CD player at the time and still makes me smile whenever I play one of the CD's.
Are You Sure Joe by Cine City is genius, worth buying the set just for that track.
If you can buy one, but it. It won't disappoint
