As I walked into an all night record store after midnight in a foriegn city in the depths of winter, this album was playing. It was as simple as walking up to the counter as saying "I don't know what's playing or who's singing, but I want that album". It is the best album I have ever bought, and one of the best features is that as the album plays towards it's end, the tracks get continually better, the last four tracks are absolute killers. Go buy it!

Jann Arden has never received the publicity she deserves this side of the pond, and one listen to this album leaves you wondering why... from the upbeat feel-good appeal of "Good Mother" to the slower, yet enticing feel of "Insensitive", not a single song fails to impress. Somewhat surprisingly the title track is possibly the weakest song but in an album of so many classics, even that is a compliment.

The rather mature sounding voice of jan arden is full of sensitivity and depth of feeling, the songs are good, and anyone who appreciates these types of qualities may well like this offering. Here is a singer who can sing what she feels, or at least give the impression of doing so very effectively.Thoughtful and emotional. Pretty good!

I have just discovered this artist,what a find !!!!
This CD sounds fantastic, the songs are lovely, mostly written and arranged by Jann Arden, and she also did all the backing vocals, how talented is that !!!
To top it all she is accompanied by Jackson Browne on "Unloved"
Just buy it and enjoy.
