IF WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IS FAST POP PUNKY TUNES THIS IS THA ALBUM FOR YOU. WITH SOME KILLER LYRICS , A GREAT COVER VERSION OF THE ROLLING STONES ( GIMMIE SHELTER )

Admittedly, it's not the best Goo Goo Dolls album, but there are some gems on there which are worth listening to, such as 'James Dean' , 'Outta Sight', and 'Up Yours'.
This album will probably only really appeal to hard-core Goo fans, as it contains no well-known songs, but it's a fascinating CD to listen to, if only to see just how far the Goos have come since they first began. You can tell the hooks are there, waiting to be used fully, and 'James Dean' is an excellent demonstration that John has always written more thoughtful, melodic songs (which ought to silence anyone who claims the Goo Goo Dolls have 'sold out').
It's not a must-have CD, but it's a vital addition to any Goo fan's collection.

Seeing as only a few people have rated this CD and my review will make a difference to the rating seen on Amazon, I felt obliged to put this at 5 stars to bump it up. It is Goo Goo Dolls punk, before they became famous and changed direction with their music. It is a very good album if you like catchy punk tunes.

The goo goo dolls started getting good on the album after this 'Hold me Up', 'Jed' is the sound of a band more content to finish a song in under 2 minutes rather than getting their instruments in tune or writing a decent tune. Goo goo dolls; very good. Jed, very bad.
