It took me a few listens to figure out what was wrong with this, and why it sounded so uninspiring. Basically, Albert's guitar is way up there in the mix - fair enough - with his voice, and the drums.

But everything else is so dang quiet that it might as well not be there. So any group nuance in these songs is pretty much lost. You get plenty of guitar . . . you just don't get much else.

This Is A Good Album, If Your An Albert King Compleatist Like Myself, It's Worth Having For Those Tracks Not Contained On The Best Of Them All, Which Is ' Livewire/Bluespower. Livewire/Bluespower Seems To Carry More Of The Mood Of The Live Performance Than Wed & Thurs Night. After All He Was Support & Perhaps The Audience Just Didn't Appreciate This Genius On The Other Two Nights.

Tight groove - great band, king at his peak of playing and singing, great reinterpretation of standards and strong 'new' tracks, BUY IT!
