This book is the book you need if you are a designer or just of a creative point of view; whether you are revolutionary or stuck in traditional way, this book will tell you that you need to show your balls and really think about what you do.
The book itself was wrote in 72 hours and it is very clear of this fact. It's slightly obvious of this fact because of the odd grammatical and spelling mistake, but it's also obvious that a big wig with no knowledge of Snask has an input and it's just the raw feelings and thoughts of Freddie, Magnus, Erik, Carl Mikael and obviously George Michael.
Along with the humour of the book, there are a lot of quotes and things you can apply to both your everyday and you design, and this isn't just things like "reach for the stars", no this is a book that tells you, almost demands you to 'show your balls' and 'pee on yourself' because these are good for you.
There is one quote I really take away from this book and I will not elaborate too much on it because then you wouldn't have any need to purchase this Holy Grail of Swedish madness. The quote is that "I have always had more fun saying yes, rather than no!" which really displays the attitude and brilliance of Freddie and Magnus and also the Studio as a whole.
There are many more things I'd like to recommend about this book but I think you'll just need to see the star rating to understand I found no faults with this book. So now is the section for the design geeks, so if you care no for paper stocks and metallic inks just hit the purchase button and read no more.
So, let the nerd feast begin before I gain a dangerously high blood pressure just thinking about the inks used. The first thing you see on the front cover is a pantone pastel pink matched with a strongly embossed block title printed with metallic gold ink, which is bloody lovely and truly F***ing Rock & Roll.
Secondly, the whole book is in what looks like Garamond or a similar serif with a slightly more modern hit with hairline strokes, printed on thick stock pink, yellow and black paper. The paper is lovely, really lovely.
The book is also filled with a selection of images that really displays the style of Snask and made me chuckle on a range of occasions.
I don't want to give it all away but I want to give it the best review I could. I've met Freddie and Magnus and I read the book in their Sweglish voices and added the odd F**k and S**t, because this book is just the two of them crammed between the fibre of paper in a seductively sexy pink, but if you know them, you'd know it wouldn't be any other way.
Lovely book guys, either do another or a hardback or limited edition because you can sign me up right away.
