I first stumbled upon this book in the Netherlands. Since then, I have become one of its strongest advocates. With a growing movement towards multidisciplinary teams, design thinking and business design it's hard to see why this book hasn't been given more notice.
Dorst successfully addresses some of the most common problems associated with the design process; compiling a collection of 'one page essays' that encourage the reader to think about design in all of its contexts and all of its meanings.
The book serves as a primary tool for anyone interested in expanding their understanding of design or simply contextualizing what they have already learned through experience.
However, do not expect a book you can simply read through from start to finish. Instead, expect a book that can be accessed at any point and will always provide something to reflect upon.
