An enchanting, beautifull and mesmerising book
on 19 September 2000
Uwe Omer's homage to the sublime grace and beauty of black ladies is a celebration of African women and their enviroment. The pictures are simple only in that what they portray needs no ehancing. The sensuous ladies he photographs are the epitomy of womanhood; gracefull, styelish, rugged and natural. The landscpe of Africa perfectly mirrors these qualities resulting in a wonderfull study. Also included are the poems of Calixthe Beyala, a leading francophone African poet, her words complimenting the photographs perfectly. This book will be enjoyed by men and women of all races who revel is the supreme beauty of the African woman, Ommer has captured their spirit perfectly. I cannot reccomend it highly enough.
