This map covers quite a large area. In fact too large an area if you are buying it for a tourist visit to Prague. You'll end up using about 10% of the area of the map which seems like a waste of money. When in Prague the tourist area is actually fairly small and easy enough to navigate around so save your money and use the free maps from the hotels and tourist office - we did and this one stayed in the back pack! The map is covered in plastic so feels very robust and I presume waterproof

The new series of Marco Polo City Maps does not disappoint, fantastic value for money with good clear easy to read mapping, ideal for your City break in Prague.
These maps have an extensive street index with easy to follow mapping. The maps are printed on laminated paper making them hard wearing, waterproof, etc.
Public transport is shown with Railways and the City Metro. Places of interest are marked, the City districts are shown, parks, monuments, churches, parking, one way streets - The Marco Polo City Maps are packed with all the information you will need to find your way around.

* Great Value for money.
* Clear easy to read mapping.
* Laminated for durability.

Laminated maps are very practical and durable, but there are also other factors to consider. Where my daughter's Insight Fleximap at 68x44cm scored massively against the 100x68cm Marco Polo was ease of use, particularly when it came to folding and unfolding. Also Marco Polo's lacks the map of the Czech Republic and more detailed map of Hradcany (the Castle area) which feature on the Insight.
Both contain a Metro map and a street index, but the fact that the Insight features Ten Sights You Shouldn't Miss, plus some essential information for tourists, means that on a brief visit you could actually go out only with this and still catch the most worthwhile sights.
The Marco Polo does extend further, but it is doubtful how much relevance those outer suburbs have for the average tourist. We found ourselves referring to the more compact and less bouncy map every time.

I would recommend this map without hesitation. I found it easy to read and it shows a large area of Prague. My friend also bought a different map, but we always ended up using this one as better detail and easier to read.

The map is robust and waterproof. However, Prague's streets are complex and the map wasn't as helpful as the free ones we received from the airport shuttle we'd booked, or the one from the hotel.
