Handy little guide
on 5 August 2013
Covering all of Lake Garda and many of the surrounding areas, this small guide is one of better ones to the area (I ended up buying several different guides in an attempt to find the elusive 'perfect' companion to take on holiday). The tips and hints for each location are very handy and well worth paying attention to when present.
I have two small criticisms of the guide however. The suggested hotels, restaurants etc for each location seem to be a very odd, and at times very restricted, selection of what is available; often "out of agreement" with review sites such as Trip Adviser. If you are looking for places to eat or accommodation then the recommendations in the guide might not be the best available.
Secondly, and this might just be me, but I find the text rather hard to follow. There is a lot of advice and content in the guide but it doesn't always seem to be organised in an easy to follow order. There are summary sections at the beginning and end of the book with recommended trips and excursions as well as "see page??" references through out the text. The up shot of this is that I spent more time thumbing forwards and backwards in the book looking for stuff compared to other guides I have used for other locations.
Regardless of this, it is still a useful guide and useful to have when visiting Lake Garda.
