I'm still working through the maths involved, but this is a really good reference for anyone interested in programming with parametric surfaces, which - especially for us in the games industry - is where the all the action will be in the coming years. The example code is pretty useful, and I really must mention all the many illustrations, which are all computer-generated (so they're very precise) and are extremely handy for visualising what the text is referring to. Highly recommended.

As a non-mathematician (games programmer) I was at first rather horrified by some of the formulae presented. However all is forgiven, the worked examples hold your hand through the intricacies and the pseudo-code algorithms given are excellent and very simple to implement.
