This dictionary is of limited use, especially to Croatian language learners. It has three major weaknesses: First, it does not note the gender of irregular nouns. Second, it does not note the first person form of verbs and finally, it does not say whether verbs are perfective or imperfective. These are all big problems for novice language learners like myself. I can see that this dictionary has some appeal as a portable, quick reference material (maybe for translating restaurant menus or something similar,) but that's about all. In my opinion, it would be better to spend more money and get a more comprehensive one straight off.
This book is certainly not a comprehensive dictionary, but it is definitely useful. I have found it a great help when writing short things in Croatian. However, as another reviewer has said, it does not give the genders. I think it's worth the money though as it is a good, small sized reference.
