Lovely tale of a friendly ghost, a German Kinder-classic. Bought it for my students of German as the author, Otfried Preußler, died last year. This is the school edition with line numbers next to the text. Useful for reading with students, but would have been even better with a glossary. The text is well written with lots of very common idioms. Despite its 140 pages, it is an easy read with lots of lovely black and white drawings. You can't help but imitate the sneeze when the little ghost wakes up at the stroke of midnight and crawls out of its trunk in the attic of Burg Eulenstein.
