This scale of map is easier to work with than the smaller scale regional maps. However, the downside is that more maps are required. Nevertheless, this is much more manageable in a car as much less folding is required and, of course, it gives much greater detail.
To really enjoy your trip, always travel with these Michelin maps. Sat-navs are very useful, but a map gives you a feel for the whole layout of an area. The Michelin local series is very good value for money.
One of the joys of motorcycling with Michelin maps is the paper can be rolled up very small. But these ones have a card cover glued on to make them faux British. It can be peeled off to return the map to it's original Gallic state but it will have sticky bits all over it. The map is absolutely fine though.
