This is a really disappointing book from John Resig (of the jQuery fame). I remember John started to write this book around 2008 or 2009 and sadly the content of the book shows its age. A very large portion of the book (and most chapters) are padded out with little information but lots of examples followed by the same example code with descriptions and then followed by a paragraph or two of description about each of the numbered points in the descripted example.
This book is a disappointment since it feels like a re-hash of much older work which could have been written in a far more concise way (one example with numbered points described in a paragraph).
Annoyingly every paragraph is filled with the word 'Ninja' or some lame ninja-related phrase and this get old very, very, very quickly to the point were the author(s) seem to be fixated with the word without actually showing any secrets which are NOT from 2009 or before.
