Books, especially "self help" books should be fun to read and this one certainly is. It is also honest, insightful, logical, structured and eminently user friendly. As a Consultant Psychiatrist involved in interviewing for staff positions within my organisation, and in providing career advice to trainee doctors, I found bags of helpful advice and anecdotes aplenty that "clicked" with my experience of recruitment. I highly recommend this book to those interested in pursuing a career change or in simply improving their CV and understanding of how to best prepare for, and manage, the interview process. It is also a must read for individuals seeking career progression, for graduates and for disabled job seekers who are worried about how to approach the job market. Zena"s book will give you confidence and make you reflect on how to optimise your chances of finding the career you seek. Mind flip - and Zena - thank you!

Zena's style in this book is friendly and firm. She's that critical friend we all want and need in life. The one that tells you how it is and gives you the ooomph and self-belief to get on and achieve your dreams. Zena's insider knowledge of the recruitment industry is second to none. She shares her tips and techniques for navigating the horror of recruitment agencies and how to crack the hidden job market through social media, networking and other sources. Whatever stage of your career you are at, this book is a must. It is a jargon free fun read that delivers on it's promises.
I bought this for my son who is at university but I think there is something in here for people at whatever stage of career they are at. The writing is witty and wise, and I especially loved how Zena challenges the flawed thinking of how people believe going for a new job should actually be done. I liked the way she impresses the importance of being Marmite, not vanilla. Aside from all the very useful information inside the book, it is a thoroughly enjoyable read.
A must read for anybody in career transition. Zena has a refreshingly frank and straight forward style. Her ideas are wonderfully sensible (though not always obvious!) and inspiring. If you are actively searching for a new role or just thinking about it read this first.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I bought this book but I am so glad I made the purchase. Incredibly well written with clear advice on how to get the best out of your career at any stage in life - beginning, returning or getting on. I felt very positive and energised after I read Mindflip. An excellent read .
This is a great book. Packed with useful ideas and tips all presented in a pragmatic and clear way. Zena's writing style makes the reader feel like she's there with you. If only I'd found this 2 years ago it would saved me days of trying to figure it out for myself!
