I have read a couple of the tax cafe guides and this one is probably the only easy to understand guide about the topic on the market. I find it well structured and clear in its layout. Because the tax-rules are quite complex, I recommend reading it once cover to cover and then using it as a reference. I particularly like the advice about specific countries. It is very clear about what is legal and about what is not, which is helpful. I received this book free in exchange for this review, but this is my honest opinion about its content. I can highly recommend it to people planning to live abroad for work or retirement!
This book is essential for UK residents moving abroad, expats, non-residents & non-doms. The tax rules for individuals in those situations are very complex, often confusing and change every year. As a consequence, it is difficult to obtain clear information or good advice in this area. The Tax Planning for Non-Residents & Non Doms guide consolidates and explains in plain English and with numerous examples the different tax rules that could impact your individual circumstances. It is an essential reading for tax planning and to avoid costly mistakes. It shows how simple decisions have important tax implications. You will get your money back many times - highly recommended.
I had bought a previous version of this book and was very impressed so had high for this latest version. As expected it is detailed but clear and simple to understand. It articulates the different perspectives that each interested group has and explains the (often subtle) differences in tax treatment. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who finds themselves affected by Non-res or Non-Dom tax treatment.
This is one of the clearest and most comprehensive guides of its kind that I have seen. The author explains complex tax matters in the simplest way and helps you get to the key issues as quickly as possible. It's also bang up to date.
