You don't have to be a "Bothy Bagger" to enjoy this.

Never likely to visit any of these places, but what a lovely exploration of remote Scotland. It's well set out, split into regions; also lists top bothies by category (e.g. romantic, solitude, Munroes, beaches, etc); explores the work of the Mountain Bothy Association; gives advice on Hill craft and staying safe. I'm sure it will be of use to the adventurous as, even though I'm not a hiker/mountaineer, it seems to have vital information I would have thought necessary for each Bothy: size (rooms, sleeping numbers), map lat/long location (plus indicative maps), fuel/water supply (do you need to take any etc) key local attractions, public transport, special notes about access/restrictions, different routes to each (parking, distance from and time of walk, terrain). The bonus is the histories of the properties. Me? I'm just happy reading about them, and uplifted by the pictures.
