This book has been very well written by someone who knows, and is well resourced from the Bible. It is very clear about God's position with regard to being gay and how to try and deal with, what I can only imagine to be, a very stressful realisation of feelings that go against a Christian faith. I am not gay but wanted to have a better understanding of how to support anyone with same sex attraction and Christian beliefs. This book has done that as well as challenging me and my life.

Not always an easy read but one that is supremely helpful in an age where liberalism and fundamentalism beat each other's brains out in the public sphere. For those coming to terms with their SSA, it is a great challenge and a great support.

Well balanced biblical view - not in the least homophobic. Arguments well presented and many expressions of love and care for those of gay persuasions contained within this book.

A sensitive and illumining book. The author knows from a personal and a biblical perspective the issues of SSA and this makes it even more practical.

An interesting contribution to the current debate on the place of gay people in the Christian church. As a celibate pastor with same-sex attraction, author Sam Allberry speaks with authority and credibility in this book. He tackles difficult questions like the notions that God made people gay, that Christians are choosing out of date segments from the Old Testament when they say homosexual acts are sinful and what the role of the gay person in the modern church should be.
To be recommended, whatever one's view in this debate.

A theologically sound approach to a very sensitive subject. Allberry is honest and doesn't shy away from the tough questions. An honest book with scripture at it the heart of it.

I liked this comprehensive book as it gives a straightforward and kind description of the Christian attitude to same-sex relationships, or SSR. It isn't long and it is a small book - pocket size.

This book is sound and biblically based but tends to favour the B side of the current debate in relation to LGBT, and leans to scripture supporting this side of the debate, and weakens the side A stance.
