This is such a great book, besides the fact that it has a great cover and is cute and gifty at the same time, it is also very informative without being too technical or longwinded. It has loads of information from choosing which breed of cat, if you should own a cat, how to prepare and look after your cat throughout its lifetime and really interesting facts about cats. There are also sections about cats on television and cartoons, songs about cats and all kinds of fun trivia, historical stories, quotes and even cat jokes. I am totally buying one for my cat loving aunt for Christmas, she would love it. Another plus is that the book looks amazing without breaking the bank. A great gift idea.

I love this little book - it's packed full of great little snippets of info which if you're a cat lover (like me) you'll love! I know there's loads of cat books out there (I've got loads myself!) but this is the perfect little gift book whilst still containing really useful and fun titbits. Who knew that cats have the largest eyes (in terms of relative size) of any mammal? Or that cats respond to purple, blue, green and yellow colours?!

For any cat lover, or as I have now learned through this book, ailurophile, is a marvellous compendium to add to your collection. It is one of those books that sit neatly and comfortably in the hands. The content is jam-packed with interesting facts, anecdotes and guidance for looking after your feline friend.
The Cat Lover's Pocket Bible, in the hands of Cerys Owen has clearly and patently, been well-researched and the format works well providing an informative and logical read. With numerous `tips' and `tricks' ranging from cat facts to consideration of accumulative expenses before even acquiring a cat, in addition to general philosophical quotes, through to diverse issues such as insurance, vets and treatment of ailments to creating recipes specifically for cats, this tome provides a good `A-Z' of advice and guidance for, both, the current and potential cat keeper. The feline jokes are cute `n' clever and better than your average Christmas cracker motto! I did not realize there were quite so many variations on a theme in circulation! The book concludes with a comprehensive listing of organizations and charities dedicated to specializing in the welfare of cats, in addition to other animals.
I felt the only thing conspicuous by their absence from the content of this otherwise, interesting, informative and well-compiled book was an illustration or picture or two which I felt would have `livened' up and enhanced the content of this excellent book.
Oh, yes, in conclusion, there is a quote from the book I wholeheartedly agree with: Beware of people who dislike cats - Irish saying.
