Good for graduates entering the world of work
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 March 2012
I found David Shindler's book to be an interesting read, offering practical and helpful suggestions of use to graduates poised on the brink of entering the world of work for the first time.
It takes the reader through the crucial steps that - in my experience of advising graduates/postgraduates on employability - can often get overlooked in the headlong rush to plunge into CVs and applications; and encourages the reader to consider what they are like as a person, what employers are looking for, and to apply that knowledge in order to ensure a 'fit' between what they have to offer and what the employer actually wants.
In short, in the current graduate recruitment market, I would say that 'Learning to Leap' is a sound investment to help students become - and stay! - employable.
