I'm not sure whether it's the sculptures or the photographs of the sculptures that i love in this book - never having seen the sculptures 'in the flesh' as it were. Either way the book is stunning: Heatherwick's 'extrusions' are made from off-cuts from a process he created to cast Aluminium chairs (if i understood the author right). The resulting shapes twist and turn, reflecting light like shiny asteroids. They have been photographed against stark white backgrounds and this only adds to the unearthly, transcendent (Zen-like) effect. Glorious.
