Intended as a gift but..............
on 15 November 2013
This excellent book was purchased as a gift but I'm having trouble thinking about giving it away. Some very interesting art depicted within. The artistic output inspired by WW2 has for a long time been viewed as rather a poor relation to the stuff WW1 generated. This Imperial War Museum volume goes some way towards restoring the balance. The colour reproductions in it are of a high quality and this is a book that will delight war buffs and art buffs alike. Were the format made a little larger, it could have been bettered but that's being picky. An interesting book that really should get covered with giftwrap before it gets sandwiched between Morrissey's Autobiography and Just William on my bookshelves.
