If you are looking at this book for an in depth guide to facial retouching from a realistic point of view, then this probably isn't the book for you. There's only a small first chapter covering red eye removal and sorting out blemishes.
However, if you are into turning your friends faces into horror show freaks, or fantasy beings, then this book will be of great interest to you.
There's also an interesting section on imitating the different styles of the the art world.
The book is well illustrated and easy to follow.

This book is really great! The cool ideas for facial touch-up/reconstruction/decomposition/etc. are simpy so alluring you'll throw yourself over Photoshop after the first few pages... The Authors of the book each have a completely different take on the concept of faces vs. Photoshop... From "simply" enhancing the look of portrait photography, through fun/weird effects, to creating cool works of art based on the human face... You'll love it!
