Readers looking for scandal and revelation will be disapointed with this biography. Sheriden Morley's agenda has been to celebrate his famous actor father Robert.

The book is hugely entertaining, as befits a book about a gifted comic actor. The book chronicles the life and career of Robert Morley with liberal quotes from the man himself which are both witty and illuminating. Morley senior was clearly a life-enhancer who lived his life with relish and the book captures his appetite for life. The book is therefore more of a celebration than a profound introspective, examination but this is appropriate for a book about a man who never took his career too seriously and largely avoided 'boring' classic drama and prefered to entertain.

All in all an entertaining read about a witty man.
