The five stars is for the core of this book is. It contrasts the authoritarian way with children with the equality way. When you are authoritarian you believe you can change others and you work to impose your will on them. When you are equalitarian you believe that we can only change ourselves, everyone is his or her own master. With the latter view we have to face how to get us all to cooperate, to make a smooth living together. That is what Conscious Discipline is all about. It describes seven skills of communication based on how our brains function and telling how we can promote cooperation. I think we all need to make ourselves aware of the skills and practice them. Just for the sake of survival of earth and civilization.
