Stuart Basson's book emerges out of his long standing support of Chesterfield Football Club. However this is more than a book complied by a humble fan. Basson emerges out of the social historian tradition and as such his passion for the club does not get in the way of the facts he comprehensively documents. This is the first history of the club - warts and all. For its early times to the problematic Cox years. It also documents well the awful 1999-2000 season. A great book for fans and football historians alike.
