A fun book, but a very thin message

The book is a nice story about two guys who accidentally became successful making jellies. Some of the recipies are nice but it is al very basic. I think that a book about jellies should not restrict itself to gelatin-based recipies. But I read nothing about gels/jellies made with agar-agar or other contemporary techniques to prepare jellies. It's just one gelatin-based jelly after the other.
