this is the magazine you always wish for, only without advertisements and cheap paper. i do love it, every page is fun to look at. the book is full of all the things we love most...flowers and how they have penetrated into all aspects of our home decoration. full of color and details, great photography and pictures of all sizes.
Interesting book - a lot more learned than I expected. More like a V&A publication than a Country Living publication, it's a handy reference for the use of florals and other natural motifs in a range of interiors artefacts, from fabrics to china to glass, throughout history. Interesting little snippets showing the snobbery of interior designers over the years, especially with regard to colour. I will be dipping into this one repeatedly. Oh - the reviewer who mentioned cleaning and jam recipes, etc, must have mistakenly reviewed the wrong book - this book has nothing of that kind in it.
Lovely little floral book which really never dates which is why I bought it. Floral homes and vintage items are now in vogue. This little book is full of interesting ideas and easy to copy if you are into floral/vintage interiors. Arrived prompty and well packaged.
