Discover the shapes in this lovely book, with glorious pictures of everything to do with the sea - ships, mermaids and treasure chests abound. One of the things I like about this book is that it does not concentrate on the familiar shapes, but looks at slightly more unusual shapes as well. So often, toddler books have squares, circles and triangles and nothing else. Lots of opportunities to count as well. Barefoot Books do extremely high quality children's books and this is no exception. Although it may seem to be aimed at boys, my daughter is very fond of it.

Our 9 month old loves the colours and shapes in this beautiful book. The pages are robust and easy for him to turn. The pictures are of embroidered scenes with gorgeous little details. There are different ways in which this book can be used depending on the age range - i.e. counting, learning shapes or just finding the picture of the spotty dog!
