Why Does the World Exist? An Experimental Detective Story
on 11 September 2012
This book was actually a present to my husband, who enjoys any book about scientific issues with a philosophical approach. I did not read it myself, but his comments were not that positive. He tells me the book is a a little flat and doesn't go into much depth into what it promises. It refers to many scientists and writers, asks the question of the titles many more times than necessary without however making a good story out of it. The fact that there might be no clear answer is not the issue - rather it is how the author comes to it. So, from the looks of it (or the sounds of it rather), it is not a book he would suggest to anybody who is somewhat familiar with these issues. Who knows, maybe it is a fun book for the absolute layman.
